Constructed in 1915 by architect Carlo Angelo Ceresa to house the new headquarters of Cassa di Risparmio, Palazzo della Luce features architecture inspired by late 19th-century monuments, with a superb Juvarrian-style facade modeled after Palazzo Madama. In 1925, the unfinished building was sold to Società Idroelettrica Piemontese (Sip) and completed under the direction of Grand Officer Giuseppe Besozzi. Inaugurated in 1928 as the offices and headquarters of Sip, a major company engaged in the production and distribution of electricity, telecommunications (Siptel), and radio broadcasting (Eiar), the palace was the site of Italy's first public radio broadcasts. The nationalization of the energy industry in 1962 led to the transfer of ownership to Enel until recent times, when acquisition by a real estate fund initiated a process of redevelopment.
